Tea Tree Essential Oil
$15.00
Tea tree oil, extracted from Melaleuca alternifolia, is commonly used to treat skin conditions like acne and athlete's foot, as well as for wound healing and as a natural disinfectant. For example, take a cotton swab and dip it into tea tree essential oil. Then, apply it directly on the acne — this is one exception where you don’t have to dilute it. It can help resolve acne faster. Dilute it with a carrier oil (a base or vegetable oil like coconut or jojoba oil that helps dilute essential oils) and put the blend on the affected skin to treat Athlete’s foot and ringworms.
• One note of caution: Since tea tree oil can be neurotoxic, you shouldn’t diffuse it if you have small children or animals at home. Tea tree essential oil is also very concentrated and some may be sensitive to it.
Tea tree oil’s benefits really come from it being anti-microbial. It can be used topically and diluted on acne to reduce and heal breakouts.
Because it helps the scalp absorb nutrients efficiently and stimulates dormant hair follicles, tea tree is the best oil for hair growth and thickness.
